What is the life-span of a box-spring mattress?
I think mine has passed on. It is awfully uncomfortable!
How long do they last? Mine is about seven years old, but with heavy usage (during school, it doubles as a desk, and trampoline if you catch my drift)

A surprising number of rebuilt mattresses were found to have been composed on the inside of filthy used mattresses that were supposed to have been professionally cleaned but were not. Even the reputable businesses selling the rebuilt mattresses expressed genuine surprise when they were slit open and their dirty insides revealed.
So avoid, if you can, the lower-priced mattresses. After all, you deserve a good sleep!
