What part are you supposed to hit the ball on your arm or hands in volleyball?

Like when you put your hands together do you hit with hands fisted part or the inside arms.I am confused in gym class. Yeah I know,stupid?

When passing with your forearms, you want your forearms together with elbows locked.

First, get in position by bringing your hands together. Make a fist with your left hand with the thumb pointing forward. Wrap the right hand around the left hand with the thumb pointing forward. Both thumbs should be lined up next to each other. This position will keep your forearms together in a stable position. Think of creating a flat platform for the ball to rebound from.

Remember to keep your elbows locked and try to not swing your arms when you pass. Most people make the mistake of swinging the arms when passing. You should be making contact with the ball on your forearms. About 4 inches from the wrist. Focus on making contact in the same spot every time. In the beginning, really focus on technique. Don’t worry so much about where the ball rebounds. Just focus on doing the technique right and you’ll eventually get better and better.

To pass higher, raise your platform and make the forearms more parallel to the ground. To pass lower, lower your platform by pointing more towards the ground. This will help you pass more straight ahead. Usually the closer you are to the target, the higher you want your platform. The farther away, the lower you want the platform so you pass more forward and not up.
