Repair Tools
What are the most common tools you use when you repair a car?
Greetings.
My friend is teaching me a bit about cars.. I understand that there are probably hundreds of different tools,and some of them are meant for specific car problems,but I need a list of tools that are generally used for the most common car problems. (Like,for example,replacing the air filter,changing the oil,fixing minor dents,replacing the brakes,et cetera..) Any comments will help,and thank you for your time.

A multimeter, available from harbor freight for $2.99. Radio Shack charges maybe $15.99. A socket set , 3/8″ drive with english and metric size sockets. Pliers, a spark plug socket to fit the car. An oil filter wrench to fit the car. A pair of jack stands and wheel chocks if you work under the car or replace brake pads. A fender protector. A creeper. Philips and regular slotted screwdrivers, various sizes and lengths.
